Now, to a 20- something I am old.
When I was a 20-something I thought anyone over 40 had to be ancient and their time on earth was limited to playing Yahtzee , listing to Bach, and, sitting on the porch rocking in the old rocking chair watching life pass you by.
But, now I am over 40 and I don’t feel a day over 25.
Probably a bit more mature in my thinking than an average 25-year-old. ( Not likely, but it sounded good)
Still, I am a bit too exuberant for some old fuddy -duddies to handle.
I figure that is their problem.
I like to dance, sing to the songs on the radio, and embarrass this kids by acting like a potato.
You ask? People -over -thirty -acting – twenty-one.
Anyway, it is payback time for all
the embarrassment caused by them.
I want to dance until I am eighty if the body holds out.
Most days I feel incredibly young and then my body does something strange and I feel old.
That is the reality of middle age I guess.
The mind stays young, but the body ages. That is the downside.
But, most days I feel like dancing..yeah..
Anyone else out there feeling young? Are you still dancing?
