Husband Makes a Zinger!

This is going to be one of my very short post.

What do you mean by, “Alright!”

Anyway, on with the story.

If you knew my introvert husband you would realize he is a very quiet guy, unless he is talking politics or something, then he can shout with the best of them.

I am seriously thinking of banning him from watching CNN.

We have started, recently, to go on walks in an attempt to get some much needed exercise.

On route, in the car, on our way to the park and its wooded splendor, we get into a discussion about life insurance.

Because, heck, nothing says, “romantic” like talking about life  insurance.

Anyway, he was lamenting the fact that we could not afford to take out more  insurance for him from his place of employment.

I mentioned the fact that since I am not employed at present, that I guess I would have to be buried in the back yard or something.

Which is hard to do when you live in an apartment and do not have a back yard, but never mind.

He turns to me and says, “Why do you think I have been saving all those boxes?”

Of course I was stunned at first!

I didn’t know he had that level of snark in him!

Damn! I wish I had said that!

  1. So glad to learn I’m not the only wife who is the butt of jokes like these. My husband would find your husband’s words hilarious. I always warn him, “Be careful, because if something happens to me, you’ll be the first suspect.” 🙂

    That was a good zinger!

    1. After so many years of marriage I know when and when not to take him seriously! I think! 😉
Even if I had started to get mad-It was lost in admiration for the wit!
He rarely makes this kind of a zinger and damn it was a good one!

  2. I think we all are either a receipent of a “Zinger” now and again. Such fun! Laughter is the key to a long relationship. Otherwise, we would all be padded rooms, jail cells or on the lam. (:

Got something nice to say, witty, silly, profound, demented, redundant or redundant? Go ahead make my day!
