Am I afraid of messing up the most innocent form of musical expression?
And a Disney classic at that?-No friggen’ way!
So, here from my deranged mind comes a song about greed and dissatisfaction and all to the tune of a Children’s classic movie song track selection!
Wish I could afford the good things of this world. ( Tune to: “Wish I could be part of that world” as used in “The Little Mermaid.”)
Look at this junk?
Doesn’t it stink?
Would you say I’m the girl
The girl who doesn’t have anything?
Look at this hole
Junk is all it holds
How much crap can one hovel hold?
Looking around here you think
Gee, doesn’t she have anything?
I’ve got broken down furniture from tag sales
I’ve got junk from a thousand more
You want to see all of the nicknacks
You don’t care
No big deal
I’m not sore
I wanna have all the good things in life
I wanna go -wanna go shop at Macy’s
Walking around on designer high heels
Working for pennies you don’t get too far
Credit cards are required for high ticket buying
Can’t you just hear me sighing’
It breaks my heart!
I wanna shop until I drop, I’ll never stop
When I can spend all day in the mall
Spending so free-wish it could be
That I’d get it all
What would I do to have me a $2,000 dollar handbag?
What would I pay to show up all of my friends.
Betcha Paris Hilton, she’d understand
I want it all is that so bad?
I wannbe a rich woman- sick of penny pinchin’
Ready my wardrobe to expand
And I am ready to have what the Jones have
To show them up good and laugh in their faces
I wanna have more than the Jones so bad!
When is it my turn?
Wouldn’t I love to have all the good things of this world?
It will never be
Riches allude me
I’m a economically strapped girl.
